TLS Academy, a Singapore Private Education Institution

ABOUT TLS

Yes, TLS Academy is registered as a Private Education Institute with the Committee for Private Education (CPE), appointed by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). It also attained EduTrust certification status which distinguishes high-quality private schools from other private schools in Singapore.

TLS Academy understands that every student develops and learns differently. Therefore, learning is individualised to suit every individual student’s pace and needs. If you are keen on allowing your child to learn more actively and independently, TLS Academy is the place to be with. Besides the personalised individual attention and its bespoke curated approach, the class size is small with a staff-student ratio of 1:8.

TLS was originally “The Learning Sanctuary” which stands true to the organisation’s mission which affirms its committment to a holistic education based on Christian principles, transforming lives and nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.

For students who have completed the curriculum, the graduation rate is 100%. The progression rate, which measures the number of graduates that progressed to institutes of higher learning, is also 100%.

Yes! TLS Academy takes in students from all around the world. Its past and current international students came from Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, USA, Canada, Philippines, Korea, Bangladesh, Taiwan, Italy, France, UK, Vietnam, China and Kenya etc.

Yes. The individualised approach adopted by TLS Academy will suit most students with learning issues. However, the school has to conduct a diagnostic test to assess the student’s suitability.

At any given time, there will be two staff, a supervisor and a monitor overseeing a class of up to 30 students. The current student-teacher ratio is 8:1.

TLS Academy takes in students for Grade 1 to 12 enrolment. Chronologically, the ages of these students range from 7 to 18 years old. However, age is not a criterion for entry as students may be performing below or above their chronological grade.

Our faculty are all fully trained and certified before being deployed. Read more about our faculty here.

Like all schools, TLS Academy had to adhere to strict guidelines given by the CPE (Committee for Private Education) which took reference from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Ministry of Education (MOE). Because of the individualised nature of its curriculum, TLS Academy’s response was swift during the lockdown when all schools were required to go on HBL (home-based learning). There were no COVID cases even at the height of the pandemic.
